JUNIOR TEAM COMPETITION

On Sunday 17th September six of our junior girls teamed together to represent Essex in the Regional Junior Team Event, held at Bury St Edmunds Golf Club. The team had some new faces making their debut for Essex and they all proved worthy of their place in the team. The team format requires girls within specific handicap ranges to play 18 holes of stableford scoring, with the best four out of six scores to count. Losing out by just one point for second place, the girls all played really well with some excellent scores, on a course that was new to most of them. It was a great experience for all of them and the smiles and camaraderie on display was a pleasure to see. The future of junior golf in Essex is looking very healthy.
