ELCGA Seniors Team vs Surrey

The Seniors team kicked off the new season with their first match against Surrey at Chigwell GC on Thursday 25th May. The course was in fabulous condition, with even the sun making a brief apperance. Despite a spirited performance Surrey proved the stronger team with an overall win of 3.5 - 2.5 points.

Essex was represented by Sara Dunn (Chelmsford), Sophie Walters (Wanstead), Gill Haysham (Chelmsford), Jo Rumsey (Rochford Hundred), Tiff Wade (Chelmsford) and Team Captain Julie Finegan (Chigwell).

Thanks to Chigwell GC for hosting and the excellent food following the match. Also our starter on the day David Miller and Chigwell Lady Captain Carol Hembury and the Chigwell ladies who were there to support us.

Our next match is at Chigwell against Middlesex on Thursday 15th June.
