SEMI FINAL & FINAL DAY
A misty morning without wind greeted the four semi finalists early on Sunday morning. At 8.00am Alex Sparrow playing against Amy Knotts led the players outs followed by Katy Yates against Emily Dixon with four Seniors of Julie Finegan, Julie Race, Jo Rumsey and Wendy Kirkby following. The first win in was Alex Sparrow beating Amy Knotts winning 5/3, the next match went to the 18th hole with Katy Yates taking it to go 1up. Jo Rumsey followed losing to Wendy Kirkby 4/3 and finally Julie Finegan winning against Julie Race 2/1.
The Finals commenced in sunshine that had finally appeared, with Alex Sparrow playing against Katy Yates and Julie Finegan against Wendy Kirkby. The Championship was eventually won by Katy Yates 4 and 3 making Katy Champion for the third time and our 100th winner. The Seniors match was nip and tuck until Wendy took the match 2 and 1.
