UNDER 14 COACHING
Under 14 coaching 2023 came to an end on Sunday 7th May with a six hole competition at Lexden Woods, Colchester. This year there were sixteen budding young golfers who attended the five coaching sessions with PGA coach Sarah Bennett and the progress over this period has been remarkable. The competition winner was Elsa Reason, winning on countback from Emily Howells and Alex Heaney. Star of the day was Jessica Dye, not only winning nearest the pin, but also achieving her first ever birdie too. After the competition, the girls and parents enjoyed wood-fired pizzas, followed by birthday cake from Lennaea McGowan, who celebrated her 11th birthday. Thanks to Nicola, Sharon and Joyce, for coming along to help shepherd our girls around the course, and a massive thank you to Sarah Bennett for all her hard work. The future of ladies golf in Essex is looking good!
