HARRIS BOWL FINALS

The Rayleigh Club & Maylands played in the Harris Bowl Final at Gosfield Lake on Sunday 12th October.

It was a mild day with very little wind and it was lovely to see all the matches played in such good spirit.

It was a nerve wracking watch for the officials and the many spectators who came along to support.

At the half way point Maylands were up in 2 matches, The Rayleigh up in 2 and the final match was all square.

The first four matches went all the way to the 17th & 18th holes and the score stood at 2 wins for each team. It was all down to the final match who were all square on the 18th tee. It was extremely tense as they approached the green, with The Rayleigh holeing their putt to win the trophy.

A big well done to both teams for making it to the final.
