SENIORS v SUFFOLK

The team continued their defence of The Eastern Region League against Suffolk at Aldeburgh GC on 23rd June.

The fabulous Suffolk team and Captain, Ann, welcomed us warmly to the course on Monday.

Aldeburgh was unfortunately not in the best of conditions with lots of work going on and a couple of the holes closed. Despite that we had a wonderful day and fought hard narrowly missing out on halving the match on the last putt of the last game. 

The final result was a win for Suffolk 3.5 - 2.5.

A big thank you and congratulations to Ann and her team along with thanks to Aldeburgh and Chef Simon for the wonderful pre match catering.

Julie Finegan - Chigwell GC, Gill Haysham, Sue Boom and Tiff Wade - Chelmsford GC, Sophie Walters - Wanstead GC and Paula Wendleken - Abridge GC.

Next match 31st July away to Kent at West Kent.
