ESSEX LADIES AND SENIORS 2ND DAY
The match play side of the Championships began with the weather slightly better than Friday, however still chilly. First out were Alexandra Sparrow from Stoke by Nayland playing against Mia Barningham from Colchester, Alexandra won the match and became the first player into the quarter finals. After this the results came in first and furious with Olivia Frost, Amy Knotts, Zoe McLean-Tatten, Katy Yates, Ciara Rushmer, Megan Henry and Emily Dixon being the other quarter finalists. As normal the Seniors then followed the Championship with Anna Cowen beating last years Seniors Champion Gill Haysham, the other quarter finalists are Julie Finegan, Maria Williams, Julie Race, Nicola Iles, Jo Rumsey, Wendy Kirkby and Hoon Locke. After lunch the quarter finals commenced for the Championship at 1.00pm with the Seniors following at 1.36.
