ELCGA Seniors vs Surrey 2022
ELCGA Seniors Team Mulligan Larsen Trophy/Southern Regions League match vs SURREY at West Surrey GC 30th May 2022
The Seniors team travelled to West Surrey GC for our second Mulligan Larsen Trophy league match of the season. The course was in super condition, showing the wonderful recent bunkering update/renovations through out the whole course. Despite getting properly rained on several times the team battled hard in all matches, so much so that, in two matches our opponents were level par through the back 9 and two Essex players produced a mighty fight back of last 6 holes 2 under par and the other 1 under for the last five. Unfortunately we couldn't overcome the exceptional play of the Surrey team this time and finished the day winning one of the six matches giving Surrey the days league point.
Essex was represented by Gill Haysham (Chelmsford), Jo Rumsey (Rochford Hundred), Brenda Skudder (Chelmsford), Kate Gadsby (Chigwell), Nicky Iles (Crondon Park) and Sophie Walters - Seniors Captain (Wanstead).
