ELCGA BRONZE KO 2024

Friday 1st March 2024 - , Red Tees

NB: Before entering this KO competition, you should be aware that the date of the Women’s Final is Sunday 20th October 2024. If you know you will not be available on that date do not enter this competition. If you are likely to be in two finals keep Sunday 6th October free too.

As well as these notes please also read the ELCGA Rules 2024 – especially Section 1 which refers to eligibility and Section 3 which refers to County KO Competitions.

The closing date for this competition is Sunday 25th February 2024.

This is a singles match play competition for players with handicap index 21.5 - 36.4 played off full course handicap difference.  The handicap difference will be determined using the players course handicap of the course on which the match is being played.

The entry fee will be £10.00

The draws for each round will be available, shortly after the closing date, at Competitions on the ELCGA website and will also be emailed to players.

On entering the competition you will be asked to agree to your contact details being available to other players in the same competition, unless you contact the organiser to the contrary.

The play by dates are as follows:  The number of rounds may vary depending on the number of entries.

Round 1            Sunday 14th April 2024 (if required)

Round 2            Sunday 12th May 2024

Round 3            Sunday 16th June 2024

Quarter Finals   Sunday 28th July 2024 - will be played on a neutral course. The Competition Organiser will inform the quarter-finalists which course they will play on.

Semi Finals       Sunday 8th September 2024 - will be played on a neutral course. The Competition Organiser will inform the semi-finalists which course they will play on.

Finals Day Sunday 20th October - this is not a play-by date. All women’s finals will be played on 20th October at a course to be decided.

In the first round the player at the top of the draw will have home advantage.  Where a player has 2 consecutive home/away draws, they will automatically play home/away in the following round – unless their opponent is in the same position, when a draw will be made in the usual way. When this situation arises the Competition Organiser will advise players who has home advantage.

If a player’s handicap index increases and is outside the limit of the division they must play off the maximum handicap in that division.  If a player’s handicap index reduces and is below the handicap range, they may stay in the division but play off their new handicap index.

The match result should be submitted as soon as possible using the Results Submission form on the ELCGA Website.

It is ELCGA policy that courtesy rounds may not be requested at any time.
