East Region Ladies Championship

Friday 6th September saw 23 ladies from across the East Region play 36  holes at Stoke by Nayland on the Constable course. Each of the six counties had a representative playing. With a foggy start to the day, temperatures rose to a rather unpleasant 28 degrees but the ladies battled through two rounds of strokeplay on the tough Constable course. The morning round resulted in a tie for best gross between Annabel Pitts and our own Katy Yates. In the afternoon the scores tended to be higher, but Riya Chandaria came in with a gross 73, net 68 which proved to be the best round of the day.

The results were:

AM Best gross Katy Yates, Clacton, -  Best Net Julie Askem, Fynn Valley

PM Best Gross Riya Chandaria, Essendon, - Best Net Helen Chung, Clacton

Overall Best Net Christine Frazer, Bawburgh

And the 2024 Ladies Champion is Annabel Pitts of Cainhoe Wood
